    This small but impressive bar is a historic locale, a work of art and a centerpiece of the Carlyle Hotel. The name comes from children's illustrator Ludwig Bemelmans, who created the beloved "Madeline" books and the idyllic murals on the walls of this bar. The bar is known for its live music, a variety of drinks, and refined takes on traditional bar food, in addition to seafood and caviar.
