Founded in 1969, El Museo specializes in Latin American and Caribbean art, with an emphasis on works from Puerto Rico and the Puerto Rican community in NYC. It is the oldest museum in the country dedicated to Latino art.

There is the Side Park Café for Mexican and Latin American treats like tacos and margaritas and the occasional live performance.

Check out the beautiful art deco-style theater, a hidden gem on the premises that showcased many Broadway musicals in the 1930s. Books and souvenirs are available at La Tienda.
