dnainfo.com reports that the hottest air of the season has descended upon us in the New York City area. Heat alerts and advisories are in place. The heat will reach the low 90s on Friday and Saturday, but humidity will make it feel more like 100 degrees, and Sunday is expected to be in the mid-80s, with humidity making it feel like 95 degrees, according to forecasts.
The Central Park Conservancy has cancelled a number of their tours this weekend due to the heat advisories. Central Park remains open, and fans of Keith Urban enjoyed the Friday morning concert that Good Morning America presents at SummerStage during the summer months.
There are many places to cool off in Central Park. Please visit our blog on the 10 places to cool off in Central Park, http://blog.centralpark.com/where-to-cool-off-in-central-park/. Remember to stay hydrated, workout and excercise early in the morning or evening if possible. Know where to go in the park to ool down and know the signs of heat stroke: http://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/heat-stroke-symptoms-and-treatment.
