Betty and Veronica are the two the newest additions to the Central Park Zoo. The 20 year old grizzly bears live in the area that used to house Gus and Ida - the late polar bears.
The two new female grizzlies came from the Bronx Zoo, since being rescued in 1995 from Montana and Yellowstone National Park. They weigh about 600 pounds each.
