According to the current regulations in place throughout New York City, vendors can sell their homemade goods and art anywhere throughout Central Park. However, in an effort to clear up park pathways and other congested areas, the Park's Department is trying to rewrite these laws.
The proposed regulations will go to a public hearing on April 23rd. If passed, only 49 art vendors will be permitted to sell in high-traffic areas in Central Park, but in designated low-traffic green-space, there will be no cap on the number of vendors.
