dnainfo.com reports that MetFridays are returning this month with extended museum hours for two days of themed events. The Metropolitan Museum of Art will extend its hours until 9 p.m. on June 24 and July 22 to offer a host of events based on themes of "identity" and the "power of objects."
The series kicks off with a silent dance party and follows with performances, readings and discussions. The Met Cloisters at Fort Tryon Park, will celebrate its own MetFridays for the first time, with events lasting until 7:30 p.m. every Friday through Sept. 5.
There will be a French white wine tasting on June 24, a German white wine tasting on Aug. 26, and a jazz quartet performance and local honey tasting on July 29.
