The Museum of Natural History had its groundbreaking ceremony for the Richard Gilder Center for Science, Education, and Innovation on Wednesday. The center is a new 230,000-square-foot-addition designed by architect Jeanne Gang.
The addition to the museum will feature learning spaces, exhibitions, and state-of-the-art technology. The new Gilder Center should open to the public in 2020.
