The Drives in Central Park, 6 miles of road where cars have been banned since 2018, have morphed into a new kind of congestion. The competion for use between walkers, runners, pedi-cab drivers, cyclists, e-cyclists, e-scooterists, horse carriages, skaters and anything else you can imagine has become a bit chaotic and unpredicatable.
Central Park Conservancy, in partnership with the NYC Department of Transportation and NYC Parks has launched a multi-year study to gather information and suggestions from the public on how to improve conditions and safety of the drives.
They are asking for people who use the park to fill out this survey and share their opinions on how to improve safety and quality on the Drives.
