This week, Google announced the finalists in the Street View Trike voting competition and Central Park and the Bronx Zoo are among the top finalists. The winners will be paid a visit by Google's new Street View Trike, designed to take pictures of hard to reach trails and paths that the normal Street View Car cannot access. This would give anyone using Google Maps Street View a chance to see Central Park's actual bike paths and trails via the internet. Placed in the "Landmarks" category, Central Park is competing against a few other top spots, including Alcatraz and the Kennedy Space Center.
