For a few nights, Upper West Siders near Broadway and 98th were treated to a nightly 7pm serenade from Tony award winning, Brian Stokes Mitchell. It began spontaneously and soon the word spread, ultimately bringing too many onlookers to comply with social distancing. Because of the large crowds, he is no longer doing it, but for those who experienced New York at its best, it will be something to remember.
