New York Road Runners (NYRR) released information about a brand new pavillion that will open this coming Monday (October 26) for participants as well as fans of the NYC Marathon. The reimagined space will feature a dynamic Visitor Center with an array of activities and programming for visitors, it was announced yesterday by Peter Ciaccia, president of events for New York Road Runners and race director of the TCS New York City Marathon.
The TCS New York City Marathon Pavilion will be a central hub that welcomes and host tens of thousands of runners and fans, and hundreds of partners and members of the media, as they converge from around the world to celebrate the TCS New York City Marathon.
On the first floor, the Visitor Center will welcome runners and guests to Central Park to enjoy food and drinks at the café and bar provided by Tavern on the Green and TCS New York City Marathon product partners Poland Spring, PowerBar, Gatorade, and Snyder’s; shop for apparel at the TCS New York City Marathon store; and experience workshops for first-time and experienced marathon runners, athlete and celebrity appearances, film screenings, live entertainment, and other special events.
