Those of us who experienced 'The Gates' in February of 2005 in Central Park will never forget it. But did you know Christo and Jeanne-Claude created many magnificent environmental works of art over a span of 50 years?
The Hexton gallery in Colorado is displaying drawings and collages highlighting the artists' most well-known environmental installations from the past 50 years.
Alongside such seminal works as The Gates, Surrounded Islands, and The Umbrellas, Hexton presents a more intimate look at their practice through a group of unique wrapped objects held in the artists’ personal collection over the last five decades.
