Also known as the Ruth and Arthur Smadbeck-Heckscher East Playground.
Located just south of the Metropolitan Museum at 79th Street, right off Fifth Avenue, visitors will be welcomed by the Group of Bears statue surrounded by a large circular seating area at the entrance.
Geared toward younger children, the play area includes climbers, a spiral slide, bucket swings, sandboxes, sprinklers, and of course “the three bears”.
