Calvert Vaux oversaw the construction of this stone arch pedestrian bridge in 1863. Composed of rock-face ashlar, it can be found in the northern part of the Ramble, skillfully integrated between two imposing rock outcroppings, seamlessly harmonizing with the natural surroundings.
The arch facilitates the crossing of one park path over another at varying elevations. Notably, it claims the title of Central Park's most slender arch, with an opening measuring just 5 feet across.
