This area marks the end of the first long stretch of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, which heads 18 blocks south down Central Park West to get here.
After arriving at Columbus Circle, the parade turns east onto Central Park South towards 6th Avenue.
It's best to avoid Columbus Circle and the areas on Central Park West between West 60th and West 59th Streets, as there is no public viewing here.
