This is the starting point for the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. It's also where the New York Historical Society and the American Museum of Natural History reside. 

Designated viewing for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade begins two blocks south, though, so be sure to find a spot along Central Park West from 75th Street to 61st Street.
