The Oak Bridge, at West 77th Street, serves as a primary entry point to the Ramble, spanning a small cove at Bank Rock Bay. Initially designed by Calvert Vaux in 1860, it was replaced in 1935 with a temporary, utilitarian footbridge. In 2009, a faithful recreation of the original bridge was unveiled and stands there today.
