Snow or shine!
Winter Jam is a free annual winter sports festival that takes place in Central Park. Past festivals have included activities such as ice carving, snowshoeing, sledding, curling, ice bowling, and Bobsled and Snowcat photo ops. Gore Mountain will provide the mini mountain of snow.
Come learn some new winter sporting activities in this urban winter wonderland!

What if there is no snow?
Even if there is no snow the event will still take place, as the folks from Gore Mountain can provide a mini mountain of man-made snow.

This event happens snow or shine.
This event is presented by NYC Parks, the Olympic Regional Development Authority, I Love NY, and I Ski NY.
Waivers
Participants in the Learn to Ski, Sledding, Snowshoeing, Dodgeball, Flag Football, Curling, and Bowling activities must sign a waiver and provide photo identification before participating in these activities. The waivers will be provided at the event for participants to sign. Participants under the age of 18 must have a legal guardian present with photo identification to sign the waiver. If you would like to fill out the waiver in advance, please download the Winter Jam Participant Waiver form [PDF] and bring a completed printout with you to the event.

Please note: On the event day, you will still need to visit a waiver station and wait in line to provide photo identification to receive your waiver wristband. Filling out the waiver prior to the event does not guarantee participation in any activity at Winter Jam 2023.
