SUMMERSTAGE PRESENTS: Glass Animals / Taylor McFerrin / BattleFest League Dancers
to
Glass Animals: Their vocalist and songwriter David Bayley draws influence for both music and artwork from his involvement in the world of medicine and neuroscience (at just 22 yrs old, he has studied both) creating a sound with it’s roots spread between the electronic and live instrumentation.
Taylor McFerrin: By playing all of the instruments on his productions, while also relying heavily on sampling and chopping up his live takes, he has found a sound that seamlessly bridges myriad musical worlds and draws the listener into a constantly shifting audio soundscape.
BattleFest League Dancers: Brooklyn’s own extreme dance league, BattleFest, brings its best dancers out for a live performance. “Flex” dancing as it’s known, involves dance battle competitions that are at once flights of fancy as well as poetic evocations of the streets.
Doors open at 2pm, show at 3pm.
