Fred Lebow Half Marathon
The annual half-marathon celebrating Fred Lebow takes place entirely in Central Park.
Thousands of runners show up for this friendly winter half-marathon celebrating the man who believed running was for everybody. Fred Lebow co-founded the NYC Marathon, completed 69 marathons in 30 countries, organized multiple other famous races, and was also president of NYRR for twenty years.
The Fred Lebow half-marathon is one of the largest half-marathon events in the country.
The race begins at 8:00 AM on East Drive just south of the 102nd Street Cross Drive and runners make two plus loops around Central Park for a total of 13.1 miles.
All participants will receive a cozy New Balance winter beanie hat to commemorate the race.
