Much Ado About Nothing
Public Theater presents "Much Ado About Nothing"
Tony Award winner Kenny Leon puts his modernist take on Shakespeare’s tale of deception, old rivals, and torn lovers.
The story revolves around the war-torn city of Messina, where there is finally a period of peace. The Governor Leonata decides to hold a masquerade ball, where a battle of wits ensues.
Previous incarnations of the comedic play have been portrayed in Central Park since 1972, notably including a 2014 performance by actress Lily Rabe.
Written by William Shakespeare
