Lighting of the World's Largest Menorah 2023
Everyone is welcome to the annual menorah lighting in Manhattan at the entrance to Central Park.
Experience the world's largest menorah lighting on each of Hanukkah's eight days, at the southeast corner of Central Park. The lighting takes place at Grand Army Plaza, next to the Pulitzer Fountain, across from the famous Plaza Hotel.
The event, organized by the Lubavitch Youth Organization, will feature a menorah-lighting ceremony, live music and Chassidic dancing. On Sunday 12/10, there will be free donuts and Menorah for participants. On Monday 12/11, singer Eli Marcus will perform.
The menorah is certified by Guinness World Records as the world's largest. It was designed by Israeli artist Yaacov Agam and inspired by a hand drawing by the Rambam of the original menorah in the Beis Hamikdosh in Jerusalem.
