Celebrate John Lennon: Give Peace A Chance

Yoko Ono is inviting the general public to give peace a chance on October 6, a date three days prior to what would've marked John Lennon's 75th birthday: in the form of a giant, human peace sign in New York's Central Park. The event, titled "Imagine Peace," is organized by the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus, a traveling, nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing hands-on music education to students. All participants who are planning on attending, are requested to register online.  The organizers of the event are hoping to break a human peace sign Guinness record. 

Location: East Meadow, enter at 99th Street and 5th Avenue

Time:10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Participants are required to register online, but the event is free and open to all ages.
