Break the Ballet Record

If you are a ballet dancer who wants to be apart of something big, you should be at the Central Park Bandshell, located mid-park at 72nd Street, on Monday, August 2.

Starting at 4PM special hosts Michele Wiles, Principal Dancer of the American Ballet Theater (ABT), and Craig Salestein, ABT Soloist, will commence the event that aims to support dance awareness.

Dancers ages 13 & up are invited to attend.  All participants are encouraged to donate $10 to the Angelina Ballerina of Tomorrow Program to benefit the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club performing arts program.

While fundraising is important, the major goal of this event is to assemble more than 1,000 ballet dancers.  At exactly 6:30 PM, all dancers will be instructed to stand en point for one minute.  The current record is 220 dancers.
