Bastille Day Celebration with music, dancing and movies!

The Bastille Day celebration kicks off with a live jazz band performing a selection of beloved French classics. The quintet is headlined by GRAMMY-nominated singer Kavita Shah, and features Matt Munisteri on guitar, Matt Penman on bass, Ferenc Nemeth on drums, and Olivier Manchon on violin. Following will be a a get-up-and-dance set with movie highlights by star Joachim Garraud (frequent collaborator of David Guetta, Mylène Farmer, and Kylie Minogue). The highlight of the evening is a screening of the 2020 French comedy My Donkey, My Lover & I (Antoinette dans les Cévennes) starring the delightful Laure Calamy (Call My Agent!).

Shah has a  multicultural background (she’s a native New Yorker of Indian descent fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and French) and wide-ranging musical tastes (reared on 90s hip-hop, Afro-Cuban music, and bossa nova, she studied jazz voice, classical piano and ethnomusicology at Harvard.)

Tickets: SummerStage will no longer require tickets for free performances as of June 30th. Admission is first come, first serve. All free performances will be open to the public, general admission will be subject to venue capacity limits, and will follow CDC recommendations for health and safety related to COVID-19.

Please note that re-entry is not permitted to these shows once you exit the venue.

Staggered timed entry to reduce entrance crowding will be assigned closer to the date of the event.
