Lisa del Rosso

She was born in New England and lives in Manhattan.
Lisa originally trained as a singer, and completed a post-graduate program at LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art). She lived in London and worked as a performer for nine years before moving to New York City.
Because she swears she has done everything in her life backwards, she then received her Bachelor’s Degree from Empire State College. She recently received her MFA in Creative Writing from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Her interest in writing was initially a hobby, and taken up more seriously when epilepsy interrupted her performing career, with no other creative outlet available to her. She was invited onto the Ledig House Writer’s Colony for a residency, and worked as a researcher and reader for the German publishing house, S. Fischer Verlag.
Lisa has contributed to a variety of publications, including Young Minds Magazine, and Time Out New York. Her first play, "Clare's Room" was produced and performed as part of the New York Fringe Festival in 2006. She teaches English at Berkeley College in Manhattan. She is currently finishing a novel, and working on her second play.
