Two bronze eagles that were stolen thirty years ago from Central Park were recovered this year. They are part of a group of four that are part of the City Employees War Memorial at the northwest end of the Mall across from the Bandshell. The eagles were replaced by replicas after being stolen from the park by drug dealers in the seventies.more..
